The name of my website; Budget Barbie, stems from an inside joke among friends. I am not a Barbie. I am a busy wife to one and mother to three. I married my high school sweetheart right after graduation and we moved to Southern California where he was attending school.
Being frugal was an understatement; I remember having to turn around on a San Diego toll booth road because we couldn't come up with two quarters to pay the fare! As time went on we learned how to live well on very little and still keep those values to this day, 24 years later.
Living well and frugal on a single income without looking like we do. Nobody needs to know how much you didn't spend.
