Canvas and Burlap Christmas Pennant Banner - "Oh Holy Night"

Rushing... rushing!  I'm woefully behind on this particular site as I, like most everyone else, is just so gosh darn busy this month!  So forgive me for a 'quick post and run' but there are so many wonderful little affordable crafts and Christmas decorations I did this year... and it's going to be January before I have time to post them!!

This was a wonderfully easy and fun craft - and it happens to be my favorite decoration this year.  A cream canvas pennant banner strung on jute twine that exclaims;  "Oh Holy Night".  So simple and I'm just crazy about it.

I found the blank canvas banner pieces at Michaels - but I found it the first of November before they were out of stock on so many items!  If you can't find them in stock you can check Walmart or order some online.  You can also (quite easily) simply purchase a piece of canvas fabric and cut the little pennants out.

Using your favorite stencil, quickly and easily dab a tiny (little bit!) of paint through the stencil, onto the fabric.  Let it dry completely (within 10 minutes if you are using a semi-dry sponge brush and are light handed with the paint!).  String up on twine or jute - I folded the top over the twine and hot glued a line to make a seam.

Hang up!

Use a little paint in many light dabs and layers.  Don't overload it.
