Putting up moulding....

The relocation to the new house was busy and full of cleaning, repairing, decorating in the first two weeks.  There was so much to be done and so many things to purchase before we could even 'live' here (a refrigerator, washer, dryer, mattresses and beds....)   that soon the funds ran out for big ticket items so right now the decorations and such all come dependent on the cash flow.

Because of this some of the projects I had hoped to be posting on the site have slowed down or stopped as well.

This is a hint I found on the internet a few months ago and is a simple, common sense answer to installing baseboard moulding evenly around the room.  I had saved these two photos in my personal files to use for future reference.

Use a block of wood the height you need to moulding to be and simply slide it around the base and install your molding on the top edge.  Brilliant.
