Where will YOU be on 'Black Friday' in America? The biggest shopping day of the year is right around the corner and you will not find me getting up at 2:00 am, armed with my travel mug of coffee, heading out the door with list in hand to fight the throngs of people pushing and shoving to get through Walmart's doors at 5:00 to try to snag a DVD player for $59.
Sorry. Not gonna happen.
However, for the past 8 years (or so) I have done Black Friday shopping.... I do it in my pajama's, with a comfy pair slippers, my coffee cup in hand and my computer in front of me.
Smart, frugal shoppers know that incredible deals can be had the day after Thanksgiving simply by logging in. Almost all stores seem to take part in one way or another.
If you love the game, love the crowds, love the whole atmosphere of crazed shoppers at 4:am (as I know some people really do!) by all means, have fun!!! But me? The only time I venture out into the retail sector on that day is after 2:00 pm when everyone else has returned home to sleep.
