Hidden Washer and Dryers

Now you see it... now you don't!

Looking for idea's for my future laundry rooms, or to redo the laundry room we currently have in our home, I saw these idea's and saved them to files last year. This morning as I was deleting some old photo files I came across them and got excited about the idea again.

By putting a counter top and doors in front of the washer and dryer this space now blends in perfectly with a dining room, mud room or even a guest room.

In our last home I had a similar set up as I shared the guest room with my sewing room. Hiding my sewing machine in an armoire with a swing out fake cabinet, originally the armoire could hold and hide a computer (as it did in our home before that in the living room!) but in the last home it looked like a bedroom dresser when infact, when opened, had the sewing machine, sewing kits, patterns - even some of my craft items.

It was a space saver but looked beautiful too, just like the hidden washer and dryer do in the photos above.

What an excellent idea!
