Like a lot of other wives and mothers I have Father's Day on the brain this week. With Dad's special day being celebrated this weekend I was sitting here sipping my coffee and brainstorming gift ideas to share with my readers. I smiled when my thoughts traveled back to Father's Day and Christmas of my childhood. One of my earliest memories of Father's Day and gift's for my Dad at Christmas were of cologne. Specifically, Old Spice. Two times a year my Dad looked forward to getting (and knew he was getting) a gift of Old Spice. The scent, the bottle, the logo... emblazoned in my memory. As a toddler and child my mother would purchase the gift and put our names on it. As a school aged child she would purchase the gift and we would sign our own names to the card that went with it. I believe my father received Old Spice up until I was in at least Junior High! Although my Dad started to wear various colognes and after shaves when I was in high school, I am thinking it might be fun to get him a bottle this year just for 'old time sake' and see what he says!
