This morning I was checking my emails when I had a $2.99 shipping from Current Catalog. I haven't ordered from them in a while but just seeing their emails makes me smile because I've been with that company for about 20 years now. Back in the 'olden days' before computer I was newly married, living 2000 miles from home and my frugal link back home was mail. Old fashioned 'snail mail' of course. Checking the mail was the highlight of my day to see if any friends or family had wrote me. I in turn loved to find affordable stationary and note cards to write people 'back home' and Current was my all time favorite.
I also loved that they included a free card in every magazine. A tiny thing to do on their part but it won me over and kept me ordering all those years. I still have the wrapping paper holders and themed storage boxes I bought them them about 16 years ago.
