When shopping for groceries I noticed a very small plastic container of fresh basil for sale for about $3 and contained about 3 sprigs of basil. My goodness!I've said it before and I'll say it again I'm sure... but by all means find a little tiny pot or a spot of dirt and plant your own basil! You can buy a package of seeds for about a dollar and it grows easily without any help or attention. You will have so much basil you could make 3 or 4 recipes of pesto, use it in your salads, on pizza or any way you like and still have plenty left over. Please don't waste money on such a simple herb to grow. It just makes good sense!
